Located on the edge of our own boatyard on the banks of the Dyfi estuary within a UNESCO Biosphere Zone, in an area of Special Scientific Interest on the southern boundary of the Snowdonia National Park. Smugglers Cove is set at the heart of the welsh coast and offers an abundance of activities on its doorstep.

Watersports
Boating - our private slipway allows easy launching of pleasure and sailing boats (please check size limit with us first), we also have moorings, winter storage and repair services available as part of our boatyard offering.
Surfing, Windsurfing and Kitesurfing - when the swell is right there are a number of great surfing spots on our doorstep. SUP and Kayaking - the estuary and local coastline is ideal for SUP's, canoes and kayaks, there is a local Outward Bound Centre just down the road that launch from our slipway: https://www.outwardbound.org.uk/centres/aberdovey/
Biking
The Dyfi Valley is recognised as a mecca for mountain bikers, Smugglers Cove's location is ideal for accessing a number of trails, including Mach 1,2 and 3, Climachx and also Coed Y Brenin, Antur Stiniog and Pendam: http://www.mbwales.com/mountain-bike-trails/
Every year, the nearby town of Machynlleth hosts the Dyfi Enduro race on the first May Bank Holiday weekend: http://www.dyfievents.com/events/dyfi-enduro/ which coincides with the Machynlleth Comedy Festival: http://machcomedyfest.co.uk/
The beautiful surroundings, winding roads and steep climbs also mean that mid Wales is an ideal location for road bike enthusiasts and each year the popular Abordovey Bike Ride, which sees over 700 riders cover the 100 miles from Wolverhampton to Aberdovey: http://cms.aberdoveybikeride.co.uk/
Walking and Climbing
The Welsh Coast Path is one of the most spectacular walks in Europe and Smugglers Cove offers a convenient midway point for anyone wishing to tackle the route: http://http://www.walescoastpath.gov.uk/?lang=en
Cadair Idris is Wales' second highest mountain and only 30 minutes drive away from Smugglers Cove. As we are located in Snowdonia National Park there are numerous locations across the park and along the coast that offer fantastic climbing routes - this extends onto Anglesey where there are unique coastal rock formations.

As Smugglers Cove is on the estuary then Mackerel and Sea Bass, along with many other species can also be cought from our shores.
